Ronda Gaertner came to Carbondale to attend SIU and graduated in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Also in 1992, she married and passed the CPA exam. She and her husband decided they wanted to make Carbondale their home. Ronda has worked in public accounting for 19 years for two local firms. She is currently a partner in the firm Payne, Gaertner & Associates LLC. Ronda has also been on the Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale Board of Directors for six years with involvement on the finance committee for six years and the treasurer for four years. She has also been a member of the Carbondale High School Booster Club Board of Directors for two years, and a Rotarian of the Noon Rotary Club of Carbondale for five years.
