The Carbondale Chamber Foundation exists within the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce to promote public interest in the general improvement of the quality of life of the community of Carbondale, Illinois to initiate, plan, direct and coordinate programs for public services for the community on a sustainable basis, and to study, investigate and develop plans for improving the health, sanitation, safety, and cleanliness of the community of Carbondale; to advise and recommend plans to the public agencies of the community; and to support the Carbondale Chamber as the voice of business that advances the economic well-being and quality of life in Carbondale.

Annual educational scholarships, such as the Saluki Stay, and the Carbondale Chamber Scholarship, are funded through the Foundation.

The Carbondale Chamber Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
